"We didn't just hope, we declared life every day."

The Story Behind It All

This brand was born in a fight for life. While my mother was facing one of the most critical seasons of her life, she never spoke of defeat. No matter the diagnosis or prognosis, the long ICU hospital stays, or what the doctors said, she declared life daily. She spoke scriptures, affirmations, and truth over herself and everyone around her. She believed she would live, and I agreed with her.

At her worst state after one of her many surgeries, I created larger poster boards filled with her image and words of faith, reminders to speak life, not fear, and encouraged the nurses and doctors to continue to believe that she could pull through with their help. That same faith became the foundation of my book, Beyond the Diagnosis, and eventually the designs you see today. Each piece was created from words she continuously spoke, which we live by.

These garments are for those still in the fight, those who have overcome, those standing in faith for a loved one, and those who choose to boldly share their faith and speak life. This was never just about clothing. It was about faith in action.

Through two code blues, an Impella, LVAD, multiple lengthy ICU hospitalizations, and ultimately a heart transplant, my mother came through it all victorious, and we believe that same victory is possible for others because HEWerks!
